The SSI will promote intercontinental/interregional research collaborations amongst DECs and intra-country collaborations focusing on unique local issues and requirements. The SSI will assist in the development of multicountry research and training proposals addressing relevant research and development (R&D) objectives in order to enhance its competitiveness.
